DraftKings makes first SBTech launch with new Ireland site
US behemoth goes live with hurling and Gaelic football markets on first Irish betting skin

US operator DraftKings has launched its first sports betting website in Ireland.
The site went live this week and is powered by SBTech; the sports betting supplier acquired by DraftKings as part of its $3.3bn three-way public listing with Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp.
EGR Intel understands DraftKings had already planned to launch in Ireland, even before the merger completed in April.
The Irish skin is the first DraftKings’ domain fully powered by in-house partner SBTech.

SBTech skin for DraftKings Ireland
The rest of the operator’s portfolio, including its flagship product in all US states, is still provided by Kambi.
The Kambi contract – first signed in June 2018 – expires on 30 September 2021, giving DraftKings and SBTech time to work on its complex integration.
DraftKings will still be able to leverage its SBTech technology, in full or part, until that expiration date, which allowed for the Ireland launch.
The DraftKings app is not available in Ireland at present, but the sportsbook does include markets on niche Irish sports including hurling and Gaelic football.
DraftKings is running a customer acquisition offer to match initial deposits of up to €25.
