DraftKings bolsters golf presence with Bryson DeChambeau ambassador deal
Sports betting operator’s logo will appear on the 2020 US Open winner's signature golf cap

DraftKings has recruited 2020 US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau as its new brand ambassador for golf on an exclusive multi-year deal.
DeChambeau becomes the first pro golfer to represent the US sports betting giant and will feature across integrated content, marketing, and VIP-centric collaborations.
The Californian-born pro golfer is currently ranked sixth in the Official World Golf Ranking and won his first major championship at the US Open in New York in September.
Starting with the 2020 Masters, the DraftKings logo will appear on DeChambeau’s golf cap.
DraftKings CEO Jason Robins said: “Professional golf has been a key growth sport in both daily fantasy and sports betting, and our collaboration with Bryson DeChambeau is a notable new layer of mainstream brand exposure and fan experience.
“As one of golf’s most promising athletes and the current US Open champion, DraftKings is strategically aligning with winning athletes like Bryson who embody and embolden the competitive fire of our customers.”

Golf is the fourth most popular sport for daily fantasy players at DraftKings, while betting handle has grown more than 10 times annually.
Excluding NFL games, the 2019 Masters ranked among the top five highest-bet sporting events on the DraftKings sportsbook.
DeChambeau said: “DraftKings has been at the forefront of innovation for how people experience golf, and the company continues to modernise the game through technology built by and for sports fans.
“The gaming industry has already helped golf reach broader audiences, and I am proud to work with DraftKings on boosting fan excitement and engagement in the game,” he added.
