Don Best warns customers about data breach
Odds feed provider discovered malware attack during recent integration with Scientific Games

Don Best has notified customers about a data breach it identified during the provider’s recent integration into Scientific Games.
In a letter to clients this week, Don Best said during the integration in December it had identified a malware attack back in October.
The sports betting provider said an unauthorized individual had accessed the Don Best network and acquired names, addresses, phone numbers, user names and passwords.
The firm said in its letter: “Since becoming aware of the incident Don Best has taken steps to remove the malware and to further improve the security of the Don Best network… Your trust is top priority for Don Best and we deeply regret the inconvenience this may cause.”
The provider advised clients to change passwords and freeze credit cards, although it said not credit card details had been stolen.
“We deeply regret the incident and are taking steps to mitigate potential harm to you as a result,” Don Best added.
Scientific Games announced itsacquisition of the odds feeds provider back in October and completed on November 1.
The Las Vegas-headquartered giant is still rumored to be considering further bolt-on acquisitions to support its Openbet sportsbook.
