
Digitain appoints new COO as Luis Figo reveals thoughts behind ambassadorial role
Armenian firm appoints Armie Sirunyan to C-level while former footballer delves into his new position with the supplier


Digitain has promoted its director of analytics Armie Sirunyan to become the supplier’s new chief operating officer (COO).
Sirunyan steps up to become COO after serving as deputy COO since March 2020 alongside a series of other senior roles.
Sirunyan originally joined Digitain from its sister company, B2C operator ToTo Gaming where she served as head of financial and statistical analysis from October 2014 until June 2016.
She then took up the same role with Digitain following her switch and remained in the post until January 2019.
Sirunyan was then promoted to project management officer and head of product results before being named head of business intelligence (BI) and deputy COO in March 2020.
Sirunyan swapped her remit from BI to become director of analytics in September 2021 while retaining her deputy COO role.
Stepping up to the C-level, Sirunyan becomes the second woman on Digitain’s senior management team, joining chief people and culture officer Lilie Vardanian.
Elsewhere, Digitain recently named former Real Madrid star Luis Figo as a brand ambassador where he will lend his presence to both the supplier and ToTo Gaming.
Speaking at a recent press event at the company’s headquarters in Yerevan, Figo revealed his thoughts behind the partnership.
He said: “I wanted to understand what the company was about and for me it was a big surprise. I have seen today how many people work at Digitain and the happiness of the staff. I think Vardges Vardanyan [Digitain CEO] has put the company in the eyes of the whole world and I am very pleased to be part of a big company.
“I will try to the promote Digitain as best as possible to help the company become bigger and bigger.”
Elsewhere, Figo revealed his support for gambling sponsors in football and that following his retirement he had regularly been approached by the industry to become an ambassador.
He continued: “You can see sportsbook companies are sponsoring football and I think for the clubs this is a very important form of revenue and them it can help build better teams.
“I think everything that is clear and legal has the right to be in football.”
