Digitain adds 20 years’ worth of industry experience to C-suite
Former Genius Sports head joins Armenia-headquartered supplier as raft of changes continues

Digitain has announced the hire of Iain Hutchison as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).
Hutchison, an industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience within the sector, joins Digitain from betting and gaming marketeers Extraspective.
His remit at the Armenia-headquartered provider will draw upon his extensive experience to lead the company’s revenue growth strategy, expand its global reach and grow the business further within the igaming sphere.
Hutchison joined Extraspective in October 2020 as CEO following 15 years at Genius Sports where he served as sales director during 2005 to 2011 and commercial director between 2011 to 2020. He also took on the additional role of CRO from 2017 to 2020.
Hutchison started his career in advertising, beginning at the Financial Times in 1984, where he spent two years, before joining EMAP in another advertising role.
He remained in marketing and advertising for around 17 years working for various publications including The Gramophone Magazine before making his gaming industry entrance as sales director at Connextra, where he stayed for three years between 2002 and 2005 before making the move to Genius.
Vardges Vardanyan, founder of Digitain, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Iain to the Digitain team. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business and expand our reach globally.
“Iain’s track record speaks for itself, and we are confident that his leadership and vision will help drive Digitain to even greater heights.”
The announcement comes just five days after Simon Westbury was made CEO of Digitain’s sports division, Sport Generate, after two years as chief business officer.
