
Delaware online revenues fall 24% in May
Despite a second full month of poker liquidity sharing with Nevada poker revenues fell 31% YoY to $39,245
Delaware internet gaming revenues fell 24% year-on-year during May, according to the latest financial figures released by the state lottery. [private]
Net revenues dropped to just $133,697 compared with the $175,410 recorded in May 2014, although revenues were up 1.2% sequentially.
And despite the state now sharing poker liquidity with Nevada, the vertical reported a 19% decline month-on-month to $39,245, representing a 31% drop year-on-year.
Revenues from the sale of online lottery tickets fell 7% sequentially during the period to $63,177, but that was easily offset by casino revenues more than doubling to $31,334.
Dover Downs was the only operator to post double digit growth in May, with total net revenues up 12% sequentially to $39,620.
The operator saw casino and lottery ticket sales increase to $11,281 and $22,217 respectively, while poker attracted $6,212, a 41% decrease on the previous month.
Delaware Park also saw total net revenues increase during the period, up 7% to $73,316 driven by casino revenues increasing from $8,516 in April to $17,359.
Online lottery ticket sales increased marginally to $26,689, while poker revenues fell slightly to $29,267.
Harington Raceway continued to bring up the rear with total net revenues of $20,759, with casino attracting $2,693, poker $3,765 and lottery ticket sales $14,300.
A total of 318 new online gaming accounts were created during the period, taking the total since launch to 10,932
