Degree 53 promotes internally for technical director roles
Bav Patel and Peter Stringer make the step up while 12 new faces join the company
Degree 53 has added two new directors to its senior leadership team after promoting from within, while making an additional 12 hires over the last three months.
Bav Patel and Peter Stringer have been promoted to technical directors, with Patel specialising in web and infrastructure and Stringer taking on the mantle of mobile.
Patel has been with Degree 53 for six years, before which he served as a web developer for the likes of Think Money Group and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Stringer joined the business when it was still a branch of the Betfred mobile division in 2012 and was most recently head of native apps before his promotion.
The 12 new hires will be set to work across web and app development, quality assurance, UX design, business analysis and project management.
Richard Wagstaff, Degree 53 MD, praised both Patel and Stringer for their past successes with the firm.
Wagstaff said: “I’m delighted to recognise the great work both Bav and Peter have been doing. Their promotions are a testament to their expertise in their respective fields and delivering successful projects for our clients.”
Wagstaff went on to explain the recruitment drive was born out of the necessity to support clients and growth, even during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He added: “I also want to welcome our new team members and look forward to meeting them face-to-face in the coming weeks.
“This recruitment drive came from the need to provide additional support to client projects and expand the company’s capacity despite the lockdown. We have been continuously working on projects throughout the recent months thanks to existing clients increasing their demand for digital services and some exciting new business wins,” he concluded.
