
DAZN names ex-UK Tote Group exec as EVP of product
DAZN BET parent company taps gambling industry talent following soft launch of sports betting platform as it ramps up “one-stop shop” vision


DAZN has appointed former UK Tote Group and Entain (then GVC) product chief Gary Gallagher as the firm’s new EVP of product.
Gallagher joins the DAZN BET parent company after more than two and a half years with UK Tote Group as product director since January 2020.
Prior to joining UK Tote Group, Gallagher served as director of product at Entain (then GVC) from April 2018 until December 2019 where he was responsible for the Ladbrokes Coral business and Entain’s US JV with MGM Resorts, BetMGM.
Gallagher first cut his teeth in the gambling industry as head of mobile delivery at Ladbrokes Coral before becoming head of sportsbook delivery in April 2015.
He eventually became director of product for Ladbrokes Coral, before expanding his remit at a group-wide level.
In his new role as EVP of product at DAZN, Gallagher will lead product teams across the UK, Poland and the Netherlands.
He will oversee teams responsible for product management and UX design and research.
Touching on the hire, DAZN said: “[Gallagher’s appointment] comes as DAZN increases its focus on its tech and product teams and as DAZN cements itself as a daily destination for sports fans – a one-stop shop for watching and engaging with sport and related products and services, including recreational betting, news, e-commerce, and gaming alongside its live sports offering.”
Gallagher’s appointment comes as DAZN BET soft-launched in the UK this week ahead of a further international rollout before the end of the year.
