DAZN taps more industry talent as Entain exec joins
Christoph Haas links up with former boss Shay Segev as the talent pipeline between operator and streaming firm rumbles on

DAZN has named Entain stalwart Christoph Haas as its new EVP of product and platform engineering.
Haas becomes the second Entain exec to head to DAZN in recent weeks after chief transformation officer Marc Lange headed to the streaming firm as chief of staff.
An industry veteran, Haas most recently served as Entain’s director of sportsbook technology out of Vienna.
He joined Entain (then GVC) in 2016 after the operator acquired bwin.party.
At the time, Haas had been serving as bwin’s IT director for Europe. He had rejoined the firm in September 2014 after a spell as chief technology officer with adviqo.
Haas originally joined bwin in 2004 in the group’s software division, staying for a brief period following the merger between bwin and PartyGaming.
Taking to LinkedIn, Haas said: “[I’m] excited to announce my new role as executive vice-president of platform engineering at DAZN.
“I’m honoured to join the team around Sandeep Tiku and Shay Segev to execute on DAZN’s strategy to become the number one stop for all sports fans worldwide.
“[I’m] looking forward to driving technology advancements and delivering top-notch experiences for fans everywhere,” he added.
