DAZN BET names ex-Ladbrokes manager as head of IT
Kevin Alvarez returns to industry after six-year hiatus to join challenger brand ahead of Q3 launch

DAZN BET has appointed former Ladbrokes board member Kevin Alvarez as its new head of IT as the operator puts the finishing touches on its senior team.
Alvarez joins the challenger brand from internet service provider GibFibre, where he has served as an operations director since January 2019.
Alvarez began his career in the industry back in 2004 after joining Ladbrokes as a system administrator.
He was promoted to a network operations team leader in 2008, before eventually become IT manager in January 2012 until his departure in March 2016.
During his time as IT manager, he also served as a board director for Ladbrokes International.
Alvarez will continue to be based in Gibraltar and will be responsible for managing all IT operations at DAZN BET.
Earlier this month, DAZN BET onboarded ex-Casumo exec Pete Everson as its head of talent acquisition.
Posting on LinkedIn, Alvarez said: “After a great three-and-a-half years at GibFibre I’m excited to share that I will be joining the DAZN BET team as head of IT operations.
“I’m incredibly proud of the work we have achieved at GibFibre and I’m grateful for being part of such an amazing team. I wish all my old colleagues the best for the future and I look forward to an exciting journey ahead with DAZN BET,” he added.
The DAZN BET platform is set to launch in Q3 and is powered by Pragmatic Solutions.
The brand boasts a wealth of industry experience, including Mark Kemp as CEO, former Betdaq MD Shane McLaughlin and CMO Simon Gatenby.
