DAZN BET goes live in Germany
Sports betting challenger heads into fourth European market as firm confirms further international expansion is planned

DAZN BET has launched in Germany taking its total number of live markets to four.
The challenger brand was approved by the German regulator, Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), earlier this year and will now go live in Europe’s largest economy.
DAZN BET noted it would specifically be targeting existing DAZN subscribers who were interested in betting, as well as the wider German market.
DAZN BET will be fully integrated and promoted on the DAZN platform from mid-September to provide a holistic betting product for consumers.
DAZN added it will soon offer subscribers access to DAZN BET content via its website and app.
Germany marks DAZN BET’s fourth live market after the UK, Spain and Italy, with the operator confirming expansion into more international markets is planned.
The operator, which is powered by Pragmatic Solutions, launched last year and embarked on a strong hiring spree, bringing in execs with extensive industry knowledge.
Gabriel Vollmann, DAZN BET DACH MD, said: “DAZN Bet is an offer to DAZN users and people interested in sports betting to immerse themselves in a new kind of sports experience.
“The close cooperation with the German authorities and the brand partnership with DAZN reflect our commitment to be a safe provider in a regulated market where the player’s enjoyment is at the centre,” he added.
Ashley Lang, CEO at Pragmatic Solutions, said, “We are proud to continue breaking ground in the igaming landscape with such an innovative brand as DAZN Bet.
“This successful collaboration highlights Pragmatic Solutions’ position as a premier choice for operators seeking a flexible, reliable and compliant platform to thrive in regulated environments.
“We are thrilled to be part of DAZN Bet’s remarkable journey and eagerly anticipate further expanding this unparalleled value proposition for players and sports fans.”
Earlier this month, DAZN tapped two Entain execs to join the company.
Former chief transformation officer Marc Lange joined the streaming giant as chief of staff while Christoph Haas was named EVP of product and platform engineering.
