Danske Spil Lottery CEO steps down after six years
Pernille Mehl set to join unnamed tech company in Q4 as CEO after six-and-a-half years overseeing Danish operator’s lottery division

Pernille Mehl, CEO of Danske Spil’s lottery division, has stepped down from the role after more than six years of service.
Mehl initially joined Danske Lotteri Spil (DLO) in November 2014 after spending four years as chief executive of advertising agency BBDO in Denmark.
Mehl will remain at the helm of DLO until 1 November before becoming CEO at an undisclosed technology company.
Speaking on her decision to resign, Mehl said: “I have enjoyed every single day in Danske Spil, so it is with sadness that I have to say goodbye.
“I feel proud and lucky to have been surrounded by such competent colleagues who together have helped to create a strong business,” she added.
Danske Spil CEO Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen noted: “Pernille, together with her own team and in collaboration across Danske Spil, has delivered an incredibly good effort and impressive results in DLO, which means that today we have very strong and competitive brands.
“I would like to take this opportunity to say a thousand thanks to Pernille and congratulations on the new challenges,” he added.
