Dan Bilzerian-branded BlitzPoker readies India launch with Connective Games deal
Instagram star hails Indian market as showing “a lot of promise” ahead of debut in world’s second most populous country

Online poker supplier Connective Games and Indian operator Spartan Poker have agreed an extension to their existing partnership that will see the duo launch the BlitzPoker brand to Indian players.
BlitzPoker is the latest brand to be backed by Instagram personality, poker player and self-styled playboy Dan Bilzerian and will feature on Spartan Poker’s Quadnet Poker Network.
Bilzerian, who has over 32 million followers on Instagram, will serve as ambassador for the BlitzPoker brand in the Indian market, however no launch date has been confirmed as yet.
Speaking about the forthcoming launch, Bilzerian highlighted the market as one of the fastest growing in the areas of online gambling and skill games.
“India has shown a lot of promise that has given me the confidence to throw in my chips as well.
“We are bringing in BlitzPoker to India with a ton of features that will help us create a unique experience for the online poker players in India and make the game even more exciting.
“BlitzPoker offers a unique playing experience to its players and helps make it a lot more exciting. I’m looking forward to see how the Indian poker players receive our offering,” he added.
BlitzPoker will be available to players both on mobile and desktop and will offer international poker variants including Texas Hold’Em and Omaha.
The brand aims to include tournament play and a loyalty-based scheme to attract players in the country.
Connective Games has supplied technology to Indian poker operator Spartan Poker for the last five years.
Connective Games CEO Serge Mukhanov said he was delighted that Spartan Poker chose to extend its deal with the supplier on this new poker brand launch.
“With Dan Bilzerian as ambassador, the brand will quickly gain popularity in India,” said Mukhanov.
Earlier this month, Bilzerian’s new sports betting brand, BlitzBet, soft-launched in the US market, with the aim of using his image and social media status as a means of significantly undercutting the typical cost per acquisition (CPA).
As part of the image deal, Bilzerian has a 15% stake in the Toronto-listed business, which has also secured financial backing from former William Hill CEO Ralph Topping.
