Dallas Mavericks, Jackpocket link up in digital lottery partnership
Third-party app named official mobile lottery partner of NBA team in multi-year deal

The Dallas Mavericks and Jackpocket have linked up in a multi-year partnership, with the leading third-party lottery app becoming the official mobile lottery partner of the NBA franchise.
As part of the deal, Jackpocket – which provides a secure way to order official state lottery tickets via mobile devices – will be featured in a number of marketing activations and branded tie-ins with the Mavs.
Headlining the partnership is a monthly sweepstake in which fans will be able to enter the unique code ‘MAVS’ in the Jackpocket app for a chance to win tickets, merchandise, and VIP experiences.
Jackpocket will also receive branding exposure during free-throw attempts by the opposing team in certain games at American Airlines Center, the Mavericks’ home arena.
“I’ve been following Jackpocket’s momentum in the mobile gaming space and what they’re doing is not only innovative, but it’s also a natural and fun evolution for lottery play,” said Mavericks governor Mark Cuban.
“The way Jackpocket has elevated game experiences is something I’m excited to bring to Mavericks fans in Dallas.”
Licensed in 10 states, Jackpocket’s deal with the Mavs represents the NBA’s first official digital lottery partnership in Texas.
“This partnership with the Mavericks, a Dallas institution, is a great opportunity to bring this dedicated fanbase a new way to play the lottery,” said Jackpocket CEO Peter Sullivan.
“Since 2019, we’ve been proud to offer Texans the ability to play the lottery right from their phone and we’re excited about this growth in the state.”
Jackpocket has proved popular among Texans, with more than 294,000 individual winners capturing $32m in total winnings via the app.
According to YouGov, just under 30% of Mavs fans bought a lottery ticket in the last 30 days, while nearly 12% play the lottery daily.
The Mavs partnership is the latest in the professional sports sphere for Jackpocket, which has similar deals with the New York Jets, New York Islanders, and New Jersey Devils.
