Dafabet to close UK casino product
Asia-focused operator will continue to offer sports betting despite shutting down its UK-facing online casino
Dafabet has announced plans to close its UK-facing online casino product after blocking customer deposits earlier this month.
The Asian BGE-owned operator revealed that its UK casino, which is powered by Playtech, would cease to exist as of 20 March.
Following the shutdown, player balances will be returned automatically through the registered depositing method.
However, Dafabet was keen to stress that its sports betting site would continue to operate as normal.
Dafabet told its UK customers: “In order to enhance Dafabet’s future product offerings to our customers, the current suite of Casino games are being retired.
“We look forward to increasing our gaming portfolio under one seamless platform, enabling our customers to enjoy a better betting experience.”
The announcement of the casino closure comes despite Dafabet having ramped up its UK marketing spend in 2017 by sponsoring World Snooker tournaments and Leicester City.
