Crystal Palace scores W88 sponsorship
Former Aston Villa and Wolves sponsor links up with Croydon-based club for the 2020-21 campaign

Premier League outfit Crystal Palace has secured a principal sponsorship agreement with Asia-facing operator W88.
Under the remit of the deal, W88 will become the London club’s new shirt sponsor for the 2020-21 season, replacing fellow betting firm ManBetX, which had sponsored the Eagles since 2017.
W88 was facing the reality of not having a Premier League sponsorship presence for next season, following Aston Villa’s decision to ditch the operator for UK-based online car retailer Cazoo.
Steve Parish, Crystal Palace chair, said: “We are delighted to welcome W88 as a new principal partner and shirt sponsor for the 2020-21 season. As the club begins a record eighth successive season in the Premier League, the most-watched league in the world, our international fanbase continues to grow.
“We share a common ambition to further extend our international footprint and we look forward to working in partnership with W88,” he added.
Hilly Ehrlich, W88 business development manager, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Crystal Palace, a club with a rich history in south London spanning more than a century.
“Apart from working closely with the club’s management and players, we are also excited and looking forward to engaging with Palace fans, both in England and around the world, for a successful partnership,” he concluded.
Crystal Palace’s decision to onboard yet another gambling firm as its principal sponsor follows the House of Lords select committee’s recommendations that gambling sponsorship in sport should be outlawed.
