Crucial Compliance taps nChain for blockchain interface integration
Crucial Compliance CEO Paul Foster says tamper-proof behaviour log should give international regulators “peace of mind”

Gibraltar-based compliance solutions provider Crucial Compliance has signed an agreement with NChain AG to integrate the company’s blockchain interface platform, Kensei.
Integration with Kensei is projected to enhance Crucial Compliance’s existing Crucial Player Protection (CPP) system, which monitors player behaviour to ensure player protection from gambling-related harm.
Launched in July 2021, Kensei provides a set of APIs that allow for integration between a customer’s existing data management processes and the BSV blockchain.
Kensei is designed to eliminate the need for complex blockchain development by allowing developers to focus on their core expertise while enhancing their offering with data integrity add-ons such as a tamper-proof audit log.
CPP tracks and logs key events in player behaviour, which are then used to create a player review history interface which logs interactions and interventions throughout the customer lifecycle.
By leveraging Kensei, CPP will offer a secure solution that creates an independently verifiable action log that meets the data integrity demands of international regulators.
“This is a marked step-change for the gaming industry, using relatively new but proven technology in a way to mitigate corporate risk and also to give regulators peace of mind that what they are shown is absolute and undeniable,” said Crucial Compliance CEO Paul Foster.
“Partnering with nChain allows us to offer a cost-effective solution for gaming operators and to provide regulators a single undeniable version of the truth, eventually across all operators,” he added.
