ComeOn Group brands have Swedish fines upheld
Four brands were confirmed to have breached bonus rules and responsible gambling protocals

Sweden’s regulatory body (Spelinspektionen) has issued a statement revealing that fines handed out to three of four ComeOn Group brands regarding unauthorised bonuses and safer gambling failings have been upheld, after all four appealed.
All four brands, were handed penalties and warnings in February 2021 and, despite appealing, Sweden’s Administrative Court has upheld three and reduced the fine of a fourth.
Sweden’s strict gambling laws prevent companies from offering customer bonuses other than one initial welcome offering.
Casinostugan, ComeOn Sweden, Hajper Ltd and Snabbare Ltd were handed fines of SEK25m (£2.2m), SEK35m, SEK50m and SEK65m respectively.
Of the four fines, those of Casinostugan, ComeOn Sweden and Snabbare were upheld, while the SEK50m awarded to Hajper was reduced to SEK40m.
In order to get around bonus limits implemented in Sweden, a number of firms have been introducing refunds on winnings and stakes, a move that has been criticised and dissuaded by Spelinspektionen.
Sweden’s Administrative Court ruled that the companies had found to be in breach of paying bonuses in the form of deposits into customer accounts, while this also constituted a breach of safer gambling protocol.
