Coljuegos launches responsible gambling campaign
Colombian regulator’s ‘Take control, play for sure’ initiative aims to help players recognise problem gambling behaviours, as new support website also rolled out

Colombian regulator Coljuegos has launched its responsible gambling campaign, ‘Take control, play for sure’, as it aims to further prevent gambling-related harms.
The campaign coincides with new regulations in the Latam market which lay out the guidelines for operators to follow.
As part of the initiative, Coljuegos also launched a website allowing players to take a risk factor identification test as well as access a directory of firms that offer mental health guidance and care.
A self-exclusion process for new games has also been established via the resolution.
Marco Emilio Hincapié, Coljuegos president, said: “Our mission includes the promotion of responsible gaming. That is why, through this campaign, we want citizens to recognise the risk factors that could alert us when someone is losing control when gambling.
“This campaign seeks to involve operators in the protection of gamblers. Our aim is to prevent the occurrence of mental health problems associated with gambling, as well as to educate and raise awareness among citizens about the actions carried out by Coljuegos.”
Betano entered Colombia last month, becoming the 16th operator to go live in the market, joining the likes of Betplay, Rush Street Interactive’s Rushbet, Entain-owned bwin and Codere.
