Isabel Hale leaves affiliate ahead of strategic review into company’s European business as focus shifts to the US

Catena Media’s head of UK, Australia and the Nordics, Isabel Hale, has left the affiliate ahead of strategic review into the company’s European assets.
Hale spent four years with football resource Squawka between July 2013 and November 2017 before leaving the firm ahead of its acquisition by Catena Media in December 2017.
Hale returned to Catena Media after a brief stint as head of operations at fan engagement agency Ball Street Network and undertaking consultancy work.
She was named head of brand and partnerships in July 2018 before being promoted to head of Squawka and branding in August 2019.
Hale was appointed as head of UK sports in February 2020 before expanding her remit to include Australia and the Nordics in April 2021.
In her role, Hale was responsible for overseeing all UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Nordic and Benelux properties across Catena Media’s sports and casino verticals.
Touching on her decision to leave the affiliate, Hale said: “After four years with Catena and nine with Squawka, it’s time for me to close the curtain on what has been the journey of a lifetime.
“I’m not sure there has been an emotion I have not experienced over this time. But, overwhelmingly, I will always look back with fondness, pride and love for everything I and the amazing people I have had the chance to work with have achieved.
“To each one of those individuals, partners, clients and companies, thank you for everything you did to contribute,” she added.
Last month, Catena Media announced it would be broadening an initial strategic review to include its entire European business, and warned of potential job losses for staff in Malta and the UK.
Elsewhere, the firm posted a 4.9% year-on-year (YoY) decrease in Q2 2022 revenue to €28.9m in late August.
