Casumo enters sports betting fray with Kambi sportsbook
Nordic-facing operator takes aim at casual bettors with “gamified” betting experience

Casumo has announced plans to launch a Kambi-powered sportsbook, with a focus on gamification and “social-style betting experiences”.
The Casumo product will initially be mobile and football-focused, although no launch date has yet been specified.
“Casumo is creating a brand new, more intuitive product experience for sports, built on Kambi’s leading sportsbook platform,” Daniel Durrans, head of sportsbook at Casumo, said.
The product will primarily target casual bettors and “the millions of sports fans who have never placed a bet”, with a focus on offering “fun and playful betting opportunities”.
Casumo is one of the fastest growing casino firms in the sector, finishing 30th in the EGR Power 50, thanks in part to its social gaming features including player achievements and leaderboards.
The operator was recently identified as one of the firms most likely to increase its market share this year by the Online Gambling Quarterly.
Kristian Nylen, Kambi chief executive, said: “A combination of the Kambi Sportsbook and Casumo’s gamification expertise will attract a different player segment than what we’ve been used to, further strengthening the Kambi network.
“Moreover, this deal illustrates the flexibility of the Kambi technology, with Casumo widening the spectrum of operators currently adapting our technology to meet their own specific product and marketing requirements.”
