Former Lottoland exec moves to Casumo as head of casino
Gary Thompson joins the online operator after three decades in the industry with several firms including Gala Coral Group and Relax Gaming

Casumo has appointed Gary Thompson as its new head of casino following last year’s C-suite revamp.
Thompson joins the online operator after a 12-month spell with igaming marketing firm Digital Fuel where he also served as head of casino.
Prior to joining Digital Fuel, Thompson spent eight months with Relax Gaming as a senior account manager in Gibraltar.
Thompson has worked in the industry since the 1990s, which include spells at several casinos in Ireland and role with Gala Coral Group.
He joined William Hill in April 2013 where he served across two roles, firstly as a customer service representative and then online casino live executive.
Thompson then returned to Gala Coral Group in May 2015 as its casino and live casino product manager for just over a year.
Thompson held the same position with Platin Gaming from May 2017 to June 2018 and then spent over three years at Lottoland as its gaming commercial manager.
Thompson’s appointment follows a string of hires in 2023 for the online operator, starting with Francesco Postiglione as CEO in March and followed by Tim De Borle as COO a month later.
Midway through the year Janice Duncan arrived as chief financial officer and in July she was joined by Cristina Turbatu as chief technology officer.
David Wilson arrived in September as Casumo’s UK managing director.
