
Casumo backs long-awaited sportsbook launch with Reading FC deal
Swedish operator’s logo will appear on the Championship side’s home and away shirts during until 2021


Casumo’s sportsbook product has gone live in a number of selected markets, including Germany and Sweden, and aims to go live in the UK in the “coming months”, the operator has announced.
The Swedish operator is backing the new product with a two season-deal to sponsor the English Football League (EFL) Championship team Reading FC, starting this season.
The long-awaited Casumo sportsbook was initially scheduled to launch around the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but was postponed as Casumo improved its platform to support the launch.
Casumo has said previously the sportsbook would be built on its core beliefs of “simplicity of design and excellence in execution”, while provider Kambi has said the product would have a focus on gamification and “social-style betting experiences”.
Greg Tatton-Brown, Casumo manager for UK & Ireland, highlighted the Reading sponsorship as a “historic moment” for the online casino operator, with the Casumo logo set to feature on the front of Reading’s first-team and adult replica shirts until the summer of 2021.
“We are passionate about working with the Royals to make Madejski Stadium a fun, vibrant and exciting environment for fans over the course of the next two years,” Tatton-Brown added.
Tim Kilpatrick, Reading FC’s head of sales and partnerships, highlighted the potential of a “vibrant and creative” brand like Casumo, emphasising their interest in forging a partnership with Reading FC.
“We look forward to collaborating throughout the next two years and providing a powerful platform for Casumo to achieve their own, ambitious marketing objectives,” Kilpatrick added.
