BoyleSports unveils ex-William Hill and Betsson exec as CEO
Irish bookmaker moves for Vlad Kaltenieks six months after the departure of chief executive Mark Kemp

BoyleSports has appointed former William Hill and Betsson executive Vlad Kaltenieks as its new CEO.
Kaltenieks will take on his new role with BoyleSports in February 2023 having left Hills in October.
Kaltenieks spent more than four years with the operator, which is now owned by 888, from July 2018 as global director of data, analytics and digital.
Prior to joining the legacy bookmaker, Kaltenieks had a two-year stint with Betsson in Malta as the operator’s director of digital and data.
The appointment of Kaltenieks sees the Irish operator finally replace former CEO Mark Kemp who stepped down from the role in July 2022 after less than a year in charge.
Kemp eventually moved on to become CEO of DAZN BET, with BoyleSports being managed by commercial director Conor Gray and founder John Boyle in the interim.
Kaltenieks’ arrival will also bring an end to a busy period of senior change at the operator, which saw a restructure of the team following the departure of digital MD Eddie Bennett in September 2021.
Speaking on his appointment, Kaltenieks said BoyleSports was in a fantastic position for future growth given the success of the business so far.
Kaltenieks said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as CEO of BoyleSports at a time when it has established itself as one of the most successful bookmakers in Ireland and the UK, and is already developing footholds in gaming markets across the globe.
“With its own technology platform and a very experienced senior management team BoyleSports has terrific potential to grow in both existing and new markets,” he added.
BoyleSports chairman Boyle commented: “Vlad will bring to bear exceptional expertise in using digital technologies to drive innovation and in the use of focused marketing to deliver growth.
“Having worked almost exclusively in highly regulated environments,N he also brings with him particular experience in adapting to regulatory changes.”
