Black Type recruits Degree 53 for sportsbook overhaul
UK-based operator is keen to promote product as well as pricing with a new-look front-end

Black Type has partnered with web development firm Degree 53 to overhaul its front-end sportsbook.
Degree 53 will focus on improving user experience across all product verticals including sports, casino, live casino and virtuals.
Black Type said the partnership will allow it to display betting services and content in a more dynamic way, allowing for constant front-end updates throughout the day.
Keith Oliver, CEO of the UK-based operator, said improved usability help in offering customers a great betting experience.
“We want our target audience to come to us not only because of our competitive prices, but because they love our product and the experience it offers,” said Oliver.
The new-look product, which is set to include personalisation features to help Black Type increase engagement, will launch later this year.
Black Type is built on an FSB platform and recently went live in Ireland after climbing into the top-10 in Oddschecker clickshare at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Degree 53 MD Andrew Daniels said: “I am excited about working with Black Type and helping them create a modern and slick product.
“We’ve been strong advocates of updating the UX across all industries, but it’s very relevant to sports betting.
“It’s much easier to enhance the UX without going into further redevelopment, and it increases conversion and retention much quicker,” he added.
Degree 53 also created the end-to-end sportsbook experience for over-the-phone bookmaker Goldchip in March 2018.
