BK8 parent company faces threat of being dissolved in UK
Black Hawk Technology yet to file accounts and confirmation statements with Companies House as deadline looms
The company behind controversial Asia-facing operator BK8 is on the verge of being dissolved in the UK for failing to file accounts and confirmation statements.
According to Companies House, Black Hawk Technology’s accounts are overdue, having been issued a deadline of 28 February 2023 to submit all up-to-date administration required for its confirmation statement which was due on 4 June 2023.
The last available accounts filed with Companies House were made up to 31 May 2021, while its last confirmation statement was dated 21 May 2022.
On 2 May 2022, the Registrar of Companies issued Black Hawk Technology a first Gazette notice, a public warning which stated that “unless cause is shown to the contrary, the company will be struck off the register and dissolved not less than two months from the date shown”.

A second Gazette announces the company’s dissolution should nobody challenge the first or the objection fails.
Should the private limited company be dissolved, all “property and rights vested in, or held in trust for, the company are deemed to be bona vacantia, and will belong to the Crown”.
The deadline gives Black Hawk Technology until 2 July to submit the relevant paperwork.
The company was incorporated on 22 May 2020 and is registered to an address in Ruislip, West London.
Its managing director is listed as Malaysian businessman Cheah Hoong OOI.
However, LinkedIn shows Black Hawk Technology’s managing director as Michael Gatt, who was recently named as BK8’s EMEA MD in a press release issued by Aston Villa confirming the operator as the club’s new front-of-shirt sponsor.
According to BK8’s website, Black Hawk Technology is a company originally incorporated in Cambodia.

Black Hawk Technology submitted an application for the company name BK8 to be trademarked in the US with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in July 2021.
