Betway sportsbook director confirms exit after 13 years
Jas Deol calls time on lengthy spell with Super Group brand as he plans to return to sportsbook scene following a summer break

Betway sportsbook director Jas Deol has departed the online operator after almost 13 years of service.
Deol has called time on his decade-plus spell with the Super Group brand, having played a key role in building the operator’s global profile.
He originally joined the business in November 2011 as a head of sports after spending five years with Betfair across its marketing arm.
In March 2015, Deol was promoted to sportsbook director. During his time heading up the sportsbook department, Deol built out an extensive team as Betway expanded into more than 17 countries.
Speaking to EGR on his decision to depart the business, Deol said: “Betway has become a global success story, with revenues growing year on year, and the business and wider group are in great shape for the future.

“Personally, I felt this was the right time to move on, knowing the business is on a solid trajectory to continue its growth.
“The sportsbook industry has undergone many changes in recent years—regulatory changes, compliance demands, advertising shifts, data licences—each consuming more of my time.
“These aspects, while important, aren’t why I entered the sports betting industry 21 years ago. I joined because I love sports and enjoy building great products for customers to enjoy.”
Deol added that after a brief break over the summer, he is looking to forward to “diving” back into the industry.
He said: “I’ll be getting back to what I love—building fantastic sportsbook products that customers can truly enjoy.”
