Betway secures first-ever female esports sponsorship
Online operator expands agreement with Brazilian outfit MIBR to bring female CS:GO team under umbrella

Betway has expanded its relationship with Brazilian esports organisation MIBR to encompass its female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team.
Betway and MIBR have been partners since 2018, with the pair inking a one-year renewal to their sponsorship agreement in January.
Under the remit of the expansion, Betway will support MIBR Female and will also launch several activations with the roster.
The deal represents Betway’s first ever female esports sponsorship.
MIBR added its female CS:GO team in January and has already onboarded two other sponsors in the shape of online tournament platform Gamers Club and multinational technology firm LG.
Adam Savinson, Betway head of esports, said: “Building on our existing four-year partnership with IGC’s MIBR team, we are very happy to be able to bring in more of their talented roster into the Betway family.”
Yuri Uchiyama, MIBR director, commented: “The women’s Counter-Strike scene is growing more and more and we are very proud to be able to extend this partnership with Betway to support the promotion of this community.”
