Betway ramps up US sponsorship drive with six new deals
Online operator makes strides into NBA and NHL ahead of US launch in tandem with Digital Gaming Corporation

Betway has secured sponsorship agreements with six major US sports teams ahead of the launch of its US-facing online gaming venture.
The operator entered into an exclusive brand licence agreement with Digital Gaming Corporation in February for the use of the Betway brand, initially going live in 10 states.
Five of the new sponsorship deals are with NBA franchises, with Betway afforded courtside branding opportunities under the remit of the agreements.
Betway will partner with the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
The sixth partnership will see Betway expand its presence into the NHL with four-time Stanley Cup champions the New York Islanders.
Betway has also secured a minor sponsorship agreement with the LA Kings to secure its presence on the NHL team’s digital assets.
Anthony Werkman, Betway CEO, said: “It’s a very exciting time for the Betway brand as we enter the US through our licensee partner DGC. We are delighted to have secured initial deals with six prestigious US sports teams.
“The deals are an extension of our existing focus to promote the Betway brand in high-profile sports shown around the world.
“Our brand is recognised globally as a leader in offering a fair, safe and responsible environment in which to place wagers and we look forward to US customers enjoying a similar experience,” he added.
