Betway lands US and European licences as it expands global footprint
Super Group-owned operator set to go live in fifth US state and tackle Eastern Europe

Super Group has secured two licences which will see it expand the presence of its Betway brand across the US and Europe.
The online operator will go live in the state of Iowa, taking the number of states the business is live in to five.
Betway is already live in Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, while its partner Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) has secured market access in 11 states.
In April, Super Group agreed a deal to acquire DGC, which holds the exclusive rights to operate the Betway brand in the US.
Betway and DGC had initially agreed a brand licence agreement in February which saw the operator go live stateside.
Elsewhere, Betway has been granted a licence in Poland where it expects to leverage the existing appeal of the brand, coupled with sporting sponsorship agreements in place in neighbouring Germany, to attract new customers.
Richard Hasson, Super Group president and COO, said he expected further market launches to take place throughout 2022.
He said: “Heading into 2022, we expect the pipeline of new market expansion to be active and to continue both internationally and in the US, where the acquisition of DGC provides us access to a group of 11 states.
“In our core geographies, we continue to thrive with market-leading positions, scale and financial flexibility, operating a proven, cash generative business,” he added.
