Betway head of Germany set to depart later this year
Maik Brodowski heads for exit door after two years with Super Group-owned operator

Betway head of Germany Maik Brodowski is set to depart the operator later this year.
Brodowski will leave the online firm after more than two years of service, having originally joined as head of marketing in Germany in June 2021.
In September 2022, Brodowski was promoted to become head of Germany for Betway, overseeing its operations in one of Europe’s most restricted markets.
Brodowski confirmed Betway was on the hunt for his replacement, with the new market lead set to be based in Düsseldorf.
During his time with the firm, Brodowski helped oversee Betway’s growth in the market, including penning sponsorship agreements with football clubs Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Brodowski previously told EGR in February, that operators will need to work closely with Germany’s gambling regulator, the GGL, to ensure the market’s growth.
He said: “As an industry, we need to work with the GGL to make certain our offering is competitive and that the channelisation goals are being met. This includes the ability to adequately promote and market our regulated products and be able to grant customers increased deposit limits once they’ve passed the required checks.”
Speaking on his departure from the firm, Brodowski said: “All good things come to an end. After a period full of exciting events, my time at Betway Group ends later this year. Betway Group is therefore looking for a new head of Germany.
“You’ll have the opportunity to work with talented professionals who share a dedication to improving and growing the Betway brand in the German market,” he added.
