Betway eyes esports gains with new Battle of Betway tournament
Super Group operator launches October competition in “biggest ever” Counter-Strike: Global Offensive activation

Betway is launching its biggest ever Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament as the operator continues to invest in esports wagering.
The Battle of Betway is described by the Super Group-owned bookmaker as the “biggest and most exciting esports event the brand has ever organised”.
The teams taking part in the Battle of Betway are BIG, NiP, MIBR, G2 and FURIA, giving esports fans a chance to see their favourite players in action as they warm up prior to the 2021 Stockholm Major.
Launching on 20 October across five streams, the Battle of Betway will see players compete in a round-robin best of one map format competition.
The tournament will culminate with a semi-final and final showdown. Each stream will be hosted by some of the biggest talent in the CS:GO community, including Anders, Gaules and Semmler.
Adam Savinson, on behalf of esports at Betway, said: “The Battle of Betway is our most ambitious CS:GO sponsorship activation to date.
“It brings together our leading teams from all over the world to battle it out in one epic Betway tournament.
“Occurring just before the long awaited Stockholm Major, this is every CS:GO fan’s last opportunity to see how their favourite teams stack up against each other before fighting it out for the top prize of the year,” he added.
