Betway catches Cricket South Africa sponsorship
Operator seals three-year deal to support men’s and women’s teams across ODI, test and T20 codes

Betway has secured a three-year sponsorship agreement with Cricket South Africa across multiple formats.
The operator will become the official event partner for both men’s one day international (ODI) and test formats, as well as the official sponsor for the T20 men’s and women’s teams.
Cricket South Africa said it was looking forward to working with a “progressive brand” like Betway and that there would be a number of activations to help engage fans across South Africa and internationally.
Anthony Werkman, Betway CEO, said the relationship with the governing body reaffirmed Betway’s “commitment to cricket”.
Werkman added: “We are thrilled to have partnered with Cricket South Africa. We already have a wide-ranging sporting portfolio, and this showcases our commitment to cricket.
“The South African team are due back in action at the end of the year and we’re excited to see how the team perform across all codes of the game,” he concluded.
Kugandrie Govender, Cricket South Africa CCO, said he was “extremely proud” to welcome Betway as a partner.
Govender added: “It is pleasing to have a mutually beneficial relationship with an organisation of integrity that will contribute towards the game of cricket in this country while we deliver on their objectives.
“We are beyond thrilled that in these challenging times, Betway reciprocates the belief in us that we have in them.”
This new partnership marks another addition to Betway’s considerable sports sponsorship portfolio.
The bookmaker is the principal partner of Premier League side West Ham, and also sponsors football clubs in Spain and Germany.
This year, the operator has continued to develop and expand its esports sponsorship programme by adding several CS:GO and Dota2 events to its stable.
