BetVictor has appointed Betsson’s global brand chief Matt Parkes as its new director of brand and creative, EGR has learned.
Parkes started his new role today after a 20-month stint with Betsson, most recently as global head of brand and creative.
At the Malta-headquarterd firm, Parkes led a creative department of 20 designers and produced eight in-house TV commercials in 2018.

He replaces Shane Stafford, who left BetVictor in October last year to join exchange betting operator Matchbook as CMO.
Parkes will oversee BetVictor’s portfolio of brand ambassadors including Michael Owen and the recently signed Harry Redknapp, as well its sporting partnerships, including Liverpool FC.
Andreas Meinrad, CEO at BetVictor, said: “Matt’s appointment comes at a significant moment in our brand’s growth. These past few years have been among the most important for the business in terms of developing our brand proposition and assets, and we are looking forward to welcoming him to the team. His extensive marketing experience will be crucial for helping us to grow the brand even further.”
Parkes added: “I’m very much looking forward to getting started with BetVictor, a company that is at a really exciting stage of its brand journey. They have taken great strides in developing their proposition and are now ready to amplify it even more. I can’t wait to lead the next part of that process and contribute to the overall success of the company.”
