Better Collective names ex-Nike exec as Brazil country manager
Terence Gargantini swaps DAZN for Danish affiliate as firm continues to add talent ahead of regional push

Better Collective has appointed former Nike exec Terence Gargantini as its new Brazilian country manager.
Gargantini will join the Stockholm-listed firm on 15 June, just before its planned push for market share in Brazil ahead of long-awaited sports betting legislation.
He joins the affiliate from DAZN-owned Eleven Sports, where he served as Brazil and Latam country director since June 2021.
Gargantini also spent two years with over-the-top (OTT) video solution firm FanHero as a business development director.
He also spent 11 years with Nike in Brazil and in the Netherlands, culminating in his position as international sports marketing manager.
Gargantini’s appointment follows the promotion of Simon Hovmand-Stilling to become the affiliate’s Latam CEO in April.
Hovmand-Stilling has swapped Copenhagen for Rio de Janeiro and is charged with leading Better Collective’s Latam push.
Speaking on his appointment, Gargantini said: “I am very excited to join such a great company and tremendous individuals.
“I have much exciting work ahead of me in trying to help lead Better Collective’s South American strategy and operations, as well as collaborating on business development efforts in order to continue entry into the legal igaming market in South America and to enhance Better Collective’s foothold in this exciting region.”
Hovmand-Stilling lifted the lid on the group’s strategy for Latam following the bolstering of the senior team.
He said: “Localisation will be absolutely key for Better Collective in South America. We are already building a strong understanding of the local sports fans so we can be more relevant for advertisers, both local and international ones that seek to establish a presence in this region. And that is why profiles like Terence Gargantini are instrumental in our continued successful expansion.”
