
Betsson reshuffles senior management with new hires
EGR understands former NordicBet MD Ronni Hartvig has become group CCO as operator also hires new head of affiliates and SEO


Betsson has strengthened its senior management team with a number of new appointments, EGR Intel has learned, including a new CCO, a new head of affiliates and head of SEO.
The reshuffle will see former NordicBet managing director, Ronni Hartvig, being promoted to chief commercial officer for the group after three years in charge of the Betsson subsidiary.
The Malta-based operator has also hired former Ladbrokes head of API Gary Myers to lead its affiliate programme, and former Catena Media head of SEO, Eitan Gorodetsky, to the same role at Betsson.
Myers previously lead affiliate programmes for Bwin’s PartyGaming and Ladbrokes and acted as a consultant to Betfair for a number of months in 2012.
Gorodetsky joins Betsson’s affiliate team from Catena Media and has previously acted as SEO manager for 888.
Betsson operations CEO, Jesper Svensson said: “Eitan and Gary bring great industry experience and I’m also very pleased to strengthening the operational management team with Ronni Hartvig as CCO.”
The appointments continue a period of personnel turnover at Betsson after the group’s CEO, CPO and CTO left late last year.
The firm also cut 160 staffers as new CEO Pontus Lindwall sought to make the company more agile and efficient
Elsewhere, former Betsson president and CEO, Ulrik Bengtsson, has since been hired by William Hill as the group’s new chief digital officer.
