
Betsson scoops four titles at inaugural EGR Europe Awards
Rizk parent company named operator of the year in the Nordics and Baltics and the Balkans and Southern Europe in strong night for the Stockholm-listed business


Lottoland, Betsson and Casumo all secured operator of the year titles for respective regions at the inaugural EGR Europe Awards yesterday, 6 March.
The ceremony, hosted after the first-ever EGR Europe Briefing, included regional and pan-European gongs for operators, suppliers and affiliates.
Lottoland was named operator of the year for the UK and Ireland, while Casumo took the top honour for Western Europe.
Betsson scooped up the headline title in two regions: the Nordics and Baltics and the Balkans and Southern Europe. GG.Bet secured the accolade in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
Alongside its two operator of the year trophies, Betsson was selected as having the best European ESG initiative and was European employer of the year for B2C companies.
Better Collective also had a stellar night, getting the nod for three categories in the shape of affiliate of the year in CEE, the Balkans and Southern Europe, and the Nordics and Baltics.
Fair Play Sports Media walked away with a brace of awards, one for its oddschecker brand as UK and Ireland affiliate of the year, and SuperScommesse for Western Europe affiliate of the year.
In total, 14 trophies were handed out on the night, including European cash games supplier going to Spribe, and European casino content supplier to Pragmatic Play.
Held at the Corinthia St George’s Bay Hotel in Malta and hosted by comedian Tom Houghton, the EGR Europe Awards welcomed the top-performing businesses from across the continent.
The EGR Europe Awards were supported by a range of partners including gold sponsor Spribe, stage sponsor BetConstruct, silver sponsor Soft2Bet and wine sponsor SOFTSWISS.
