Betsson opens new Lithuania office
Stockholm-listed operator aiming to expand Betsafe brand in Baltic nation with growing team and improved working conditions

Betsson has opened a new office in Lithuania as the operator looks to capitalise on its sustained growth in the Baltic market.
Located in the Central Business District of the capital city Vilnius, the 500 sq m space represents a major upgrade on Betsson’s former Lithuanian base.
The new office will house around 50 staff from across its commercial, payments and support teams and will primarily focus on the expansion and promotion of the operator’s Betsafe brand.
Alongside space for 50 employees, the space boasts bicycle storage facilities, showers, a fitness area, a health clinic and various dining options.

EGR understands the move to the new office was catalysed by an expanding Lithuanian team and the former office’s less desirable location and smaller footprint.
Betsson is aiming to improve employee satisfaction and also align its Lithuanian operations with the rest of its global office standards.
Speaking to EGR, Kaido Ulejev, Betsson Group CEECA commercial director, said the growing importance of Lithuania for the group was key to the expansion.
Ulejev said: “Betsson Group established its presence in the Lithuanian market in 2016 through the acquisition of Tonybet, subsequently rebranding it as Betsafe in 2017. Since then, Betsafe has emerged as a prominent operator in the region, demonstrating remarkable growth and influence.

“Recognising Lithuania’s strong sports market, Betsafe has strategically aligned itself with esteemed entities within the sports world.
“Notably, Betsafe proudly serves as the primary sponsor for the Lithuanian National Basketball Federation, while also holding the esteemed title sponsorship of the Lithuanian Basketball League, and is also a valued sponsor of the revered Vilnius FK Zalgiris football club,” he added.
