Betsson Group chooses Push Technology for cloud-based sportsbook roll-out
Deal will enable Malta-headquartered operator to achieve network efficiencies and cut infrastructure costs

Betsson Group has selected Push Technology’s real-time API management platform, Diffusion, to provide live odds across a wide array of sporting events and geographies.
The global roll-out is also expected to deliver network efficiencies and reduce infrastructure costs for the Stockholm-listed operator.
Betsson said it had several key considerations when seeking a real-time, cloud-based solution to meet its “rigorous gaming requirements” before plumping for Push Technology.
This included the efficiency and cost of delivering betting odds to customers, the ability to replicate sportsbook data globally in real time, management of network load, and the ability to scale to meet high volumes of customer demand.
Commenting on the deal, Fredrik Ogden, director of cloud and DevOps at Betsson Group, said: “Diffusion gives us the real-time data delivery capability we require to successfully compete globally.
“Diffusion’s data efficiency and delta streaming technology allow us to update our sportsbook in real-time to a high volume of customers worldwide. The platform can also be used to enhance future operations.”
Meanwhile, Sean Bowen, CEO of Push Technology, which has offices in London, Belfast and Silicon Valley, said: “We are seeing escalating demand for scalable, future-proof, data delivery solutions.
“Development teams are looking for platforms that can efficiently and cost-effectively deliver data from their back-end systems to a constantly proliferating array of end-user applications, in real time.”
He added: “To achieve this there is an increasing requirement for platform intelligence, which is what we provide.”
Earlier this week, Betsson unveiled plans to debut its online sportsbook in the US after forging a 10-year B2C partnership with Dostal Alley Casino in Colorado.
