Betpoint Group hires former Betsson exec as Norway country manager
Kim Larsen makes return to online gambling industry to lead charge across five Nordic brands

Betpoint Group has appointed former River iGaming and Metal Casino exec Kim Larsen as its new Norway country manager.
Former professional footballer Larsen has returned to the gambling industry full-time after a period of consultancy work since stepping down as Metal Casino MD in July 2019.
Larsen will be tasked with managing five brands in Norway, including flagship entity 21.com.
The ex-Betsson country manager will be based in Oslo and will report into Betpoint Group CEO Karl Wijkmark.
Speaking exclusively to EGR, Larsen revealed he had rejected offers to return to the industry before joining Betpoint.

He said: “I turned down, throughout the last 18 months, a lot of top positions at great companies due to the fact they needed me to relocate, it was not an option for me.”
“I’ve been looking for the right opportunity to rejoin the industry. Every single conversation [with Betpoint] felt like it was the right fit. From there it went quickly into discussing numbers and finalising the contract.”
Larsen went on the praise his new colleagues and is relishing the opportunity to dive back into the world of egaming.
“I’ve been welcomed into this company with open arms by absolutely everyone and I’m thrilled to be honest,” he said.
“I felt from the first second of the first call, through to the first couple of days I’ve been working here, that it is something quite different. I love the first, second and third impression I have had of the company and the people working there,” he added.
Wijkmark said: “Taking Kim on board is a step for Betpoint Group to further establish our strong presence in both the international and the national market.
“Kim’s remarkable experience in the Norwegian market combined with his go-getter attitude will cement the group’s ambition in becoming one of the biggest operators in Norway,” he added.
