
Betfred installs ex-Hard Rock International head as US CEO
Kresimir Spajic joins the UK-based operator to head up US division as firm names first-ever US chief


Betfred has named former Hard Rock International and Rush Street Interactive exec Kresimir Spajic as its new US CEO.
Spajic joins the operator with a wealth of North America-facing sports betting and casino experience.
Spajic most recently served as president of igaming at Great Canadian Entertainment between August 2021 and August 2022.
He also spent more than five years with Hard Rock International as SVP and managing director for online gaming and sports betting between January 2016 and February 2021.
The Croat also counts a 10-month consultant spell with Rush Street Interactive and stints with Borgata Hotel, Full Tilt and bwin on his industry CV.
Elsewhere, Betfred US COO Bryan Bennett confirmed he was departing the operator. Bennett has served as COO for the US division since October 2019 and led Betfred’s operations in the states.
On his appointment, Spajic said: “I’m truly excited to embark on this journey as the CEO of Betfred USA.
