Betfair secures front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Vasco da Gama
The agreement will see Betfair branding feature on Vasco's men's home and away shirts, training kits and the shoulder of the women's jersey

Betfair has signed a deal with Brazilian Serie A football club Vasco da Gama that will see the Flutter-owned operator become the side’s new front-of-shirt sponsor.
The agreement, which is the largest commercial deal in the club’s history, runs until 31 December 2025 but there is the option to extend the deal for a further two seasons.
Betfair branding will also appear on the shoulder blade of the women’s shirt, on training kits and feature in exclusive digital content produced by the club.
Fans will get a first glimpse of players donning the new Betfair-branded kits on 12 May, when Vasco face off against Vitória in their sixth league game of the season this weekend.
Though the club’s away kit will show Betfair branding horizontally across the front of the shirt as is tradition, the home strip will have the operator’s logo displayed diagonally as a mark of respect to Vasco’s iconic stripe on their home jersey.
As part of the partnership, Vasco and Betfair will work together on a series of activations to allow fans to win VIP experiences and official products.
The Betfair-sponsored kit was officially unveiled on yesterday, 9 May, at a rooftop event in Rio de Janeiro with a plethora of former and current players in attendance.
Kimberly Daly, Betfair International MD, said: “The partnership between Vasco and Betfair is not just a sponsorship on the team’s shirt, it is also a strategic collaboration based on shared values, excellence and passion for football, respecting the greatness of its history, but also strengthening investment in project within the team to help develop the club’s present and future.
“For us at Betfair, we are delighted to work together with a team that has growth objectives to strengthen the ties between the two brands. We are very excited to bring Vasco fans exclusive experiences that only Betfair can offer to bring fans even closer to their club, their heart and all the action of each match.”
Lúcio Barbosa, Vasco de Gama CEO, added: “It is an honour and an achievement to close this partnership, the largest in Vasco’s history, with Betfair.
“There were weeks of intense work to get the best for our club with a huge and consolidated company. We still have challenges ahead, but our commitment to working seriously and hard for Vasco continues.”
Betfair’s arrival in the Brazil sponsorship market comes after Romanian operator Superbet penned front-of-shirt deals with Fluminense and São Paulo ahead of the market’s regulation later this year.
