Betfair launches pre-Cheltenham mobile push
âTap Tap Boomâ commercial and PR stunt promotes mobile appâs horserace betting functionality in time for Cheltenham Festival
Betfair has launched a new TV advert to promote the revamped horse racing betting functionality on mobile ahead of next monthâs Cheltenham Festival.
The advert, which was first aired yesterday, features horses driving rally cars and bares the slogan âTap Tap Boomâ, promoting how customers can place a bet within three taps of opening the app.
Betfair also rolled out an app upgrade to its fixed-odds sports betting app last weekend and added secondary horseracing markets to its available bet types as part of a drive to make it the âone-stop stable for horseracingâ.
The 30-second advert was created by marketing agency and long-term Betfair collaborators WCRS and is to be supported with additional adverts promoting special offers.
The upgrade and new TV campaign were teased last Friday with a PR stunt Betfair in central London involving rally cars like those seen in the advert offering people at bus stops free lifts to work during the morning rush hour.
Mark Ody, brand director at Betfair, said the adverts had been designed to replicate the âexcitingâ nature of betting on the sport.
âOur new suite of ads brings this to life in a highly distinctive, enjoyable and engaging way,â Ody said.
