Betano scores Brazilian Super Cup title sponsorship
Kaizen Gaming-owned brand expands its presence in Brazilian football, securing a third tournament title sponsorship deal in the South American country

Betano has partnered with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to secure the title rights to 2025 Brazilian Super Cup.
The Super Cup, which will be branded as the Supercopa Betano Rei 2025, will see Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions Botafogo play 2024 Copa do Brazil winners Flamengo.
The match will take place on 2 February at the Estádio Olímpico do Pará in Belém.
The competition was previously known as the Supercopa do Brazil, before being changed to Supercopa Rei last year as a tribute to the nation’s footballing icon, Pelé.
Betano is already the title sponsor for the Campeonato Brasileirao Série A, as well as the main domestic cup competition, Copa do Brazil.
The Supercopa do Brazil has run every year since 2020 and sees the league champions play the domestic cup winners.
As part of the fixture, Betano will award the game’s best player the ‘Troféu de Craque Betano’, while the operator also plans to invite 48 indigenous leaders to the match as part of a gesture with the CBF.
Guilherme Figueiredo, Betano’s Brazil country manager, said: “This new partnership further cements our commitment to Brazilian football and strengthens our ties with the CBF.
“We are present at the country’s biggest national championships, offering thrilling experiences to sports fans within a new and secure regulatory framework. It will be a great match; a true Rio de Janeiro classic between champions.”
Betano’s presence in Brazil is significant. The regulated Brazilian market went live on 1 January 2025, with many sources and analysts placing the brand as the market leader.
EGR recently spoke to Kaizen Gaming CEO George Daskalakis to delve into the operator’s meteoric rise across the globe.
Outside of Brazil, Betano is the front-of-shirt sponsor for Portuguese duo Porto and Sporting Lisbon, while also boasting a minor sponsorship with fellow Liga NOS outfit Benfica.
Betano’s branding can also be seen on the front of Aston Villa’s kits in the Premier League, alongside similar deals with Sparta Prague and Viktoria Plzeň in Czechia, and FCSB (formerly Steaua Bucharest) in Romania.
The operator was a main sponsor for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, an official betting partner of UEFA Euro 2024 and the official sponsor of last summer’s Copa América.
Betano is also the official betting partner for UEFA’s Europa League and Europa Conference League.
