Stoke-headquartered operator hits €13m revenue mark for February as country goes into lockdown
Bet365 has topped the rankings for Italy’s online sports betting market in February as the operator’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached €13m for the month.
Playtech-owned operator Snaitech came in second with €11.7m, as players turn to online following the closure of the firm’s retail outlets due to coronavirus, with the entire country on lockdown.
SKS365 – which generated GGR of €9.9m during the period – finished third for the month.

Stoke-headquartered bet365 also continued its dominance of the turnover rankings, raking in €199m on a margin of 6.5%, to beat closest competitor Eurobet (€77.8m).
Bet365 accrued 28% of market share as a percentage of turnover in December, once again ahead of Eurobet (11%) and Snaitech (10%), while Sisal (9.3%) and SKS365 (8.5%) rounded out the top five.
Overall GGR for Italy’s 18 leading online betting operators totalled €80m last month, down €7m from the same period in January. That figure rises to €92.8m for the top 14 retail operators.
