Bet365 seeks new head of gaming product as Alex Nichols becomes CPO
Nichols joins the operator’s Malta-based executive management team after third promotion in eight years

Bet365 is recruiting for a new head of gaming product after Alex Nichols was promoted to the role of chief product officer (CPO).
Nichols has worked for bet365 for eight years and spent the last three and a half as head of gaming product before netting the CPO title in January of this year.
As CPO, Nichols is responsible for bet365’s gaming product strategy and commercial performance. EGR understands this is a newly created position.
He originally joined the business in 2013 as poker operations manager from bwin, where he was VIP poker lead. Nichols has also worked for Betfred and Ladbrokes.
Following his promotion to the Malta-based executive team, bet365 has listed a new job application for Nichols’ former role as head of gaming product.
The position is also based in Sliema, Malta, and has received 12 applications in six days, according to LinkedIn.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering the operator’s gaming product strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders across the rest of the business.
Advertising the post on his own personal LinkedIn page, Nichols said B2B supplier relationship management and dealing with commercial contracts were two of the key skills required.
Bet365 employs more than 5,000 staff globally in locations including Malta, Gibraltar and its Stoke-on-Trent headquarters.
