Bet365 remains the leading donator to GambleAware, as charity reveals latest contributions
Charity publishes list of donations and pledges received for the first three quarters of the financial year 2021-22

GambleAware has received £16m in donations for the period of April 2021 to December 2021 from the gambling industry.
The charity revealed its list of donations for this period, which showed that bet365 donated the highest amount of £4.2m to GambleAware.
Under the current UKGC regulations, GambleAware asks businesses that profit from gambling in the UK to donate a minimum of 0.1% of their gross gambling yield. If the company receives less than £250,000 gross gambling yield annually then it must donate a minimum of £250 per year.
GambleAware has reiterated its stance on a mandatory levy to address gambling harms and ensure transparency across the industry.
Other major contributors who joined bet365 on the donation list include Entain which donated £4m and William Hill which donated £1m, but all of that was donated in the first half of the year.
888 pledged £51,750, while Ladbrokes have promised £4.765m and Videoslots donated £50,000.
All the money that is donated to GambleAware goes towards activity delivered against the charity’s four objectives and supports a collaborative, whole-system approach to preventing gambling harm.
