Bet365 ramps up Latam push with move into Buenos Aires
Stoke-on-Trent-based giant enters Argentinian capital and surrounding province after first signalling intentions in 2019

Bet365 has continued its expansion in the Latam region by launching online operations in the two recently regulated Buenos Aires markets in Argentina.
Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires and Provincia de Buenos Aires will host a dedicated bet365 site with the domain suffix .bet.ar
In Provincia de Buenos Aires, which is regulated by iPLyC, bet365 will offer sports betting, casino, poker and games.
Meanwhile, the online operator will only serve up its sportsbook and games in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, to give the capital its official name, which is regulated by LOTBA.
Provincia de Buenos Aires, or Buenos Aires Province in English, is home to around 17 million people and accounts for around 40% of the South American country’s population.
Speaking of the entrance into the market, a bet365 spokesman said: “This expansion into Buenos Aires further exemplifies bet365’s commitment to customers in Latam, where it already partners with Ganador Azteca in Mexico.”
Buenos Aires legalised online gaming in August 2021, granting international operators a licence provided they partner with a locally based gambling firm and maintain a physical presence in the region.
Bet365, which claims to have more than 63 million customers worldwide, registered its interest in moving into the Argentinian market back in 2019 when it partnered with local bingo hall operator Pasteko.
Bet365 added: “We are delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated website for customers residing in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires and Provincia de Buenos Aires.
“In a region with such intense passion for sport, we are excited to provide an unrivalled sports betting experience, with a key focus on both localized and international markets.”
