Bet365 names new head of social media
Internal promotion spree continues as David Jordan steps up to lead social media output for online firm

Bet365 has continued its internal promotion action plan after naming David Jordan as the operator’s new head of social media.
Jordan has spent more than 14 years with the Stoke-on-Trent-based firm, having originally joined the company in June 2008 as a betting support supervisor.
Jordan switched to the social media division at the online giant in June 2012, initially as an editor before being promoted to deputy manager and eventually social media manager in March 2017.
In August 2021, Jordan was appointed as social and sports news manager.
In his new role as head of social media, Jordan will swap Stoke-on-Trent for Gibraltar as he oversees the firm’s social media strategy and output.
Moving away from his sports news role comes as bet365 is set to launch a new sports and betting news site led by former ITV producer James Clark.
Bet365 said the department was undergoing a “huge transformation”, investing in a new “ultra-modern” site and embarking on a hiring spree for the division.
Jordan becomes the latest bet365 stalwart to earn a promotion this month.
The firm appointed Chris Taylor as its new chief digital officer after almost six years with the company.
Bet365 proceeded to name Neil Fairweather as chief marketing operations officer and Gareth Kennedy as the operator’s new head of partnerships.
