Bet365 inks monster La Liga sponsorship deal ahead of new season
Deals agreed with 10 teams in Spain’s top flight, or half of La Liga

Bet365 has signed new sponsorship deals with 10 Spanish football teams ahead of the start of the new La Liga season, which begins this weekend with the Spanish Super Cup final.
Partnerships have been reached covering the 2018/19 season with RCD Espanyol, Villarreal, Athletic Club, Real Betis, Getafe, SD Huesca, Celta Vigo, Rayo Vallecano, Real Valladolid and SD Éibar.
Rayo Vallecano said: “Our goal is to consolidate ourselves in La Liga Santander and stay in the select group of the best clubs in Spain for a long time; that is why having a great world brand like bet365 as an important supporter is a great asset to the club.”
No details have been made public on the specifics of the agreements, however the SD Huesca, Real Betis and Celta Vigo websites all state that it covers in-stadia marketing, together with promotions and online-facing content on the bet365 site.
Referencing its deal with Real Betis, bet365 said it was “excited to be able to collaborate with Real Betis Balompié and we wish them a season full of success”.
Bet365 joins a growing list of sports betting firms choosing to become the sponsorship partners of La Liga clubs, with fellow UK bookmaker Betway inking deals with Deportivo Alavés, C.D. Leganés and Levante U.D, and Betfair signing a sponsorship deal with Sevilla and Barcelona.
GVC subsidiary bwin agreed partnerships Valencia and Atlético Madrid while European bookmaker Kirolbet currently sponsors Real Sociedad. La Liga giants Real Madrid recently signed a sponsorship deal with Spanish operator, while Girona has entered into a partnership with Marathonbet.
